While it may seem tempting to travel to China, travelers may want to consider suspending or cancelling their trip. During a pandemic outbreak, some countries have been known to close their borders without any advance notice, leaving travelers scrambling to find out if and when they can leave the country. In 2014, Nathaniel Dennis died in Liberia during an Ebola outbreak, Nathaniel had tested negative for Ebola. President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf closed many of the countries borders and the Maryland man died as a result of not being able to receive appropriate and immediate medical attention.
